The Author:

ANELIS ASSUMPÇÃO is a Brazilian singer and composer. She began singing professionally at the age of 18 with her father, singer and songwriter Itamar Assumpção, one of the main representatives of the São Paulo Avant-Garde. This is her first book.

The illustrator:

ALINE BISPO is a Brazilian visual artist and illustrator. Aline is also an activist who seeks to positively impact the lives of marginalised communities. She identifies as black and uses her body and the issues she is confronted with as a light-skinned black woman from a peripheral community to denounce the historical erasure of African culture in Brazil. Aline Bispo also performs rituals to honor the orishas.
