A poetic tale to learn that being your true self is always the best policy.
Diego the mouse would like to throw a big party for all his friends, but when he tells Mr. Mole, he gasps in horror: does Diego really think that his house can fit everybody?
Poor Diego can’t shake the feeling that Mr. Mole is right and that his house really isn’t good enough to invite his friends over. Is there a way he could make it nicer? How can he make it more comfortable for his friends? And so off he goes to find out. But the more animals Diego meets, the more confused he becomes: his ant friend lives in a maze of corridors. Another friend sleeps al fresco. Another one changes his home every day. How is Diego supposed to cater to everybody? But thankfully his friends only care about spending some quality time with him, so when everybody eventually self-invites at his place, what follows is the greatest party ever.
A feel-good story that will charm readers of all ages, as it’s never too late (or early!) to be reminded that being yourself is the only thing that really counts in a friendship.
